Growing Economies Energy Forum

The Growing Economies Energy Forum will be held alongside the Africa Energy Forum, a global investment meeting, in London. The Global Economies Energy Forum will host open discussions between government and private sector representatives from Iran, Pakistan, Myanmar and the Pacific Alliance (Peru, Chile, Colombia and Mexico).

Africa Energy Forum

The 18th annual Africa Energy Forum will be held on 21–24 June 2016 at the InterContinental London – the O2, bringing together Africa’s energy ministries, utilities and regulators, together with investors from around the world.

The Africa Energy Forum is a global investment meeting for Africa’s power, energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors. The forum aims to facilitate a meeting point for European and African developers and investors to build relationships with governments, utilities and regulators from across the African continent.

Hidroelectrica to transfer a further 20 hydropower plants in public auctions

Hidroelectrica, the Romanian state-owned power generation company, is continuing with the sale of small hydropower plants. In order to achieve the company’s strategic objectives, the small hydropower plants sales process is proceeding with a new phase. 

Twenty small hydropower plants, grouped in 14 corporate stocks of assets, will be transferred through public auctions either to the private sector or to local communities in Romania. Together, the assets to be sold represent around 17 MW of installed capacity.
